General
First I take note of your skin tone, hair colour, your make up preferences. I check what type of skin you are by Fitzpatrick skin type scale. I check what skin undertone you have (warm, cold or neutral). For lips I check lips skin undertone as it can, and usually, is different from your skin undertone. You are also going to see colour suggestions before the tattooing process for you to accept it.
You will receive full pre care instructions during your consultation and in your important information pack once you book the treatment. It is vital to prepare accordingly for best results. In some cases where pre care isn’t followed you may be refused the treatment and required to book in again once properly prepared.
But few very important rules are no sunbathing, sun beds or fake tan minimum 7-14 days before.
No injectables in the face minimum 4 weeks before.
No microneedling, acid peels or laser treatment on face 4 weeks before.
Permanent make up cannot be done on broken skin , inflamed or if you have any active skin conditions on the treatment area (and sometimes all face)
No caffeine for 3 hours before appointment.
No alcohol and blood thinners 24 h before.
Treatment cannot go ahead if you are on course of antibiotics.
Yes. The full list is in the screening forms clients fill out before their consultations. It is vital to disclose all relevant information to your technician during consultation. Some of them are:
Pregnancy and breastfeeding
Acne
Non managed high blood pressure
Raccutane
Steroids
Haemophilia
Unmanaged skin conditions
Cancer
Antibiotics
Unmanaged thyroid and hormone problems
Allergies to pigment
Certain medications
Certain auto immune disorders
Certain medical conditions
You may be asked for doctor’s consent to ahead with the treatment with certain medical conditions and if on certain medications.
Yes, you will receive full aftercare instructions during your appointment to follow. It is a must to follow the rules to the T. But just to highlight a few things that you must avoid are: shouldn’t go to sauna, swimming pools or have a hot baths while healing. You must avoid sunbathing, sunbeds and fake tan. You shouldn’t have facials during healing process, ideally for 2 weeks for facials. You also cannot wear make up or apply skincare on the area that is healing until fully healed.
Initial healing until the scabs flake off are between 7-14 days. After the skin has visually healed colour is still settling and it takes for up to 4-6 weeks. You are advised to have initial treatment and touch up appointment for best results. Touch up should be booked between 4-12 weeks after initial appointment, after this period it will incur a colour booster price depending on the time frame.
Same day. However, I advise my clients to shower first and then wash your hair last. Avoid running water on fresh permanent make up enhancement until it is healed. It is impossible to avoid some water splashing on it when washing your hair, so do not over worry if it happens. If water splashes, just gently dab it off with dry cotton wool. DO NOT RUB.
Yes, you will have to follow pre - care advice provided by your permanent make up artist to achieve best results. Some of them are:
No tanning 7 days before the treatment
No injectables 4 weeks before the treatment
No invasive treatment 4 weeks before the treatment

No, permanent make up is not suitable for everyone with certain medical conditions, medications , skin conditions or flare ups. Not suitable for pregnancy and breastfeeding.
In some cases treatments can go ahead with a doctor's letter , in some cases might not be suitable at all.
